We only had 2 weeks off, but I have been making the most of it by actually taking a BREAK and I decided to check off a bunch of the anime I've always wanted to watch. I am now on episode 200 or so of Bleach. I watched Death Note. I watched the Ouran High School Host Club. (LOL) And

Heeeeeeeeeee, FMA!! <3 This is a huge favorite of mine. I watched the first series when I was about 16 and loved it, but then I read the manga/watched Brotherhood and thought the first series paled in comparison. This is such an accomplished series, and the characters, well... you said it all. I have written a couple of one shots about it in a of rare moment of non-SPN inspiration.

I agree. There are so many fun moments in the first series, but Brotherhood feels so much more complete, if that makes sense. Plus I LOVE Greeling, Mai, Olivier and all of the Briggs soldiers, and GUH just the entire ending makes me SO. HAPPY. <3_<3

I know a lot of people who like them both - *I* even like them both, but I am certainly glad I watched Brotherhood first. I feel like the characters go through very different journeys, and the Brotherhood ending is much much MUCH more satisfying. (AKA, it made me cry happy tears and didn't leave me all sad and achy inside like Shambala did.)

EEE THE MUSIC. I KNOW. I have been listening to the Brotherhood and Black Butler soundtracks pretty much nonstop the last month. :D

I am cosplaying Hawkeye at Dragon Con this weekend. SO EXCITE.

I've only ever seen the original in its entirety and gosh, it's been forever. I keep meaning to finish Brotherhood but there's just so much other stuff to watch argh.

I'm watching the original right now, and it's pretty good - but my friends have all told me the same thing. I need to just watch Brotherhood. Maybe I'll do that next time I wanna watch anime. I didn't honestly read your post 'cause I don't wanna be spoiled, but I liked the pics!

Oh yes. Don't read it, lol.

The original and Brotherhood are actually about the same until about 13 episodes into either one. They ARE both good - but I am %100,000,000 glad I saw the Brotherhood ending first. :)
