I don't know anything about Korra but I have to say that THAT FIRST GIF is relevant for all things.

ROFL A+ GIFS.

I think my biggest problem is the predictability of it all, but I mean, yes, children's show (which, murder/suicide HOLY SHIT. LITERAL GAPING AT THE SCREEN.) I was disappointed that Amon wasn't related to someone we would know from A:TLA and especially once it ended, that we weren't given a chance to see a more human side of the two brothers other than in that flashback, but eh what can you do. And General Iroh actually makes me chuckle, because he's this seriously handsome character, and I get what they're trying to do, but oh goodness Zuko's teenage voice on a grown ass man just sounds so awkward to me.

Also ALL MY MAKO FEELS OH MY LORD. I kinda wished they would've dragged out the Korra/Mako ness (which, there's a thing I never say about ships.) but at the same time THEY ARE JUST SO PRECIOUS. Also Asami should totally get it with Iroh now.

I literally felt like it would have fixed everything pace-and-predictability wise if it had been exactly twice as long - 24 eps instead of 12, AKA a full freaking season. WHY did we not get a full season? I mean, go all in or don't go, right? Grrrrrr. *shakes fist*

I knew that Amon would be a bender, but I was actually hoping he was a disciple of Aangs, since Aang pioneered the skill of taking bending away. I also knew that since Aang pioneered the skill of taking it away, Korra would be able to figure out how to give it back. The fact that Amon was the son of a man that was equalized by Aang is ~sort of~ the same thing, but I think if there had been a full season, they could have made him someone we *know* that was literally a disciple of Aangs, and it would have had waaay more impact IMO.

I laugh about Dante's voice because he IS a grown ass man now, lol, he just ... sounds the same. I did not care, I loved the crap out of him omg. He was like ... what Zuko would have been if he'd been raised right to begin with, or something. ( ( ... )

Ok, I don't know how I missed this, but omg I was just on tumblr and Dante Basco has a tumblr (rufeozuko) and someone asked him if he was going to add Iroh, and he said 'nah, Mako will always be Iroh to me,' and then I remembered that I had originally thought Mako might be related to Zuko because of his weirdo goldish eyes and beacuse he had lightning, and so then I checked the Korra wikki and it says

'Mako (David Faustino) is a firebender and one of Korra's friends. He is described as "dark and brooding", having grown up on the streets with his younger brother Bolin, but he participates in pro-bending tournaments in the hopes of winning the big jackpot. He is named after the late Mako Iwamatsu, who provided the voice of Iroh in the original series.[2][25]', and NOW I HAVE JUST ALL THESE FEELS IDK WHAT TO BE DOING WITH, HELP ME.

GAH! *covers eyes* Can't read your post. My son just the other day told me about the Korra series and we just finished episode 3 last night.

I do know one thing: SO EXCITED! Love it! (okay, that's 2 things) We're trying to get through 2 episodes each night. Would do more but life's just too busy.

Um. Anyway. Bookmarking your post to read AFTER we're done with this season. I hope there will be more Korra on the horizon, however. Like what I'm seeing!

HELLS YEAH, I totally agree! Korraaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I'm actually surprised how much I enjoyed it given that I felt nothing could top Avatar. But it's so different and yet familiar! I luffs it. :B

Ditto. I mean, I still don't think it topped TLA, but it lived up to it, and I thought that was pretty equally impossible. :)
