Vid Rec: This Close

Haven't recced a vid in a while - but when I saw the song used, I just had to click. The vidder uses the clips brilliantly to point out the parallels of Sam and Dean's journey, using actions that one starts and the other finishes. Love, love love love.

You are most welcome! I just checked out your entry, I like your interview skills, lol. I'm glad you chose to share the song with us. It truly is a remarkable song, I used to him it to myself a lot back when I worked at The Awful Place. *hugs it*

If you don't mind me asking, what software do you use? I just switched to Mac and I am having ALL KINDS of problems with iMovie. I downloaded the free trial of final cut to test it out but it doesn't seem much better. I need something I can edit .avi files with. I'll stop rambling at you in case none of that made sense, lol.

It's free download (for a time being) and simple to use, far more simple than sony! My brother gifted me with Sony Vegas 11 for christmas and yeah I'm over the moon, but damn it, it's hard to use!

I spent about 4 hours at the genius bar and I think I finally got it sorted out, but thanks for the info! My genius looked like Ryan Reynolds, so it was all good. :)

This really well done. Do you know if the Season 4 vid is posted with audio anywhere else? It seems really cool, but my favorite part of vids is seeing how vidders matched up scenes with music.

There is a link underneath the vid to an imeem account where it is supposedly also posted, but I have never been able to get it to work for me. I literally emailed maichan and said HEY DOWNLOAD LINK PLS, lol, and she graciously sent me the file. :)

Although I suppose you could always open 2 windows, synch the songs, and watch it that way LOL.
