In which Jensen Ackles is no one's wind-up toy, OKAY.

My rage over this needs, I HOPE, no explanation.

Twit sent to Jim Beaver by a fan yesterday -

'FAN'S NAME
@jumblejim . Was in SF for con. Was kinda disappointed. Went to see Jensen who didn't look good. Didn't smile or make eye contact with fans.

Jim's response, which ... that man has restraint, and I admire him. A lot.

Stoopid idjit who can't be classified as a real fan. Just a freak. What frikkn' asshole fantasy planet does she live on? If it was against the law to be stupid, she'd be locked up. And hopefully ganked in the shower.
Assholes like that shouldn't be allowed to breathe, let alone breed.
Idjits like her are exactly the reason why they don't have accounts on Twitter and Facebook, etc. Because the freaks and weirdos like her would come crawling out of their slimy holes.

Frikkn' freak, weirdo, dumbass piece of ****.

Yes, I cleaned up my language. Out of respect for posting on your LJ post.
Not for freakazoid.

LOL. It's ok, I had to clean up the language in the post before I posted it, having done a rather explosive first draft myself.

These people do know how to hit the buttons, don't they.

That unicorn's a dumbass! In the last 6 years how many times has he or she felt sick and looked the part! Jensen seemed a little tired, but other than that you'd never even know he felt sick. It's too bad he couldn't have rearranged his schedule to accomodate the unicorn. And yes, Jim is very professional and polite.

I weep for unicorns everywhere. No wonder they are going extinct.

Oh, it's been ages since I've read a specific account of fan entitlement. It was actually a rather nice respite.

I . . . really don't have much to add. I've encountered worse instances of callous expectation, but they didn't go to the performer's co-star to express their entitlement.

Everything of Jensen that I've seen from the con indicates that though feeling under the weather, he was still on his game. (The wonders of Dayquil?)

The thing this person obviously doesn't "get" is that cons are always a risky venture. You'd better be attending for multiple reasons or really enjoy the one reason you're there, regardless of circumstances, 'cause there are no guarantees.

And why the frell would you make such a comment to a performer's co-star?

I'd have to say to ms. petals that, "Hey. You got to go to a convention. You got to see Jensen! Some of us will never be so fortunate."

I've flown halfway across the country and had Jensen cancel before, and I've also driven somewhere and paid good money and had Jared cancel on me before. Was I disappointed? Sure. Did I *waste* money? Yeah, a little. But I also had two awesome trips, the first of which I met my best friend, and got to hang out with plenty of other lovely people ( ... )

Poor Jensen. I hope he's feeling better. Your rage is justified. *nods*

In conclusion - MAYBE HE JUST DOESN'T LIKE UNICORNS.

I approve. :)

I also totally adore Jim Beaver. And his restraint.

I adore him as well. I've seen him hand it to a few rude in the past as well, and I always golf clap. But I wish he didn't have to deal with it in the first place. It's just mortifying, the general lack of manners on the internet.
