Tahirire *is re-reading old apocalypse fic* It is now unnerving me that I let Dean kill Sam. **
Aim!Friend 'Fangirl X' considers it pretty much done when Dean lets Sam go in the hole.
Tahirire Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh - no. Not any more than Sam 'let' Dean go to Hell - they both just ran out of options.

Also, most of fandom seems to blame Sam no matter what he does, so I've stopped arguing with them. They didn't like him in the beginning because he was too good to be true, and then they didn't like him because he didn't save Dean, and then they didn't like him because he "betrayed" Dean, and did I mention it's all about Dean? ;)
I love Dean, don't get me wrong. I love all my boys with oodles of love. I just wish fandom would love all my boys as much as I do.

As did the writers. I kind of like the shape of the story where Sam's saving Dean breaks the first seal. But whatevs. I also like the issues the writers' strike forced them into, even if SPN was never designed for that kind of strain and the bulges showed.
(I have such a problem when we talk about seals. It always evokes a verse from the hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today", Vain the stone, the watch, the seal; Alleluia! / Christ has burst the gates of hell: Alleluia! / Death in vain forbids His rise; Alleluia! / Christ has opened paradise! Alleluia! ... and one Easter singing this, all my brother and I could picture was this performing seal sitting in front of the tomb with a hat and a ball and clapping its hands, totally in vain. But I digress.)
But on the up side, re-ensouled Sam.
On the down side, I just used a recurrent Buffy/Angel term to describe something on SPN ( ... )
