I always assumed Bobby was a college professor who dropped off the grid after the incident with his wife. I mean, he speaks Japanese! But no, the writers dropped the ball and said he was just a junkyard owner even when married to Karen. Oh well.

Many complained that Rufus was different. I think he just came out of his reclusive world and got to hunting again. In S3 we saw a man in retirement, now that's changed. His lines were funny!!!!!

Wasn't Jensen's work wonderful? And the writers! Wow, they've come a long way since "Yellow Fever" (which was off to me at first viewing and had humor that was not organic and Jim and Jared breaking character as far as I'm concerned).

Thanks for including the Muppets! My god they were edgy for a kids' show. The smoking the drinking, and then the Muppet is a spirit! Weird!!!! It was good to be a kid at that time.

CAn't wait for more. Thanks!

I agree about Rufus. I think he just ended up out of retirement.

Speaking of, I just saw RED (Retired, extremely dangerous) at the movies tonight - SO AWESOME LOL. Made me think of these 2 dudes. :)

Yay muppets!

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!

What fun, what fun! :)

Um - i have to disagree with the hurricane footage thing. Unless it actually had a date-stamp on it, what are they gonna do? Every hurricane on record has happened either years ago or *this* year - they don't have the budget to whip up a 'new' hurricane, so...yeah. They gotta go with footage of the appropriate coast/area and hope nobody says '2010' on it. I dunno - can't imagine how *else* they'd do that....

ANYway.....this is so fun. I adored this ep to begin with, and you're making me relive it with a huge, huge smile. Wheeeee!

I respectfully disagree. :) As someone who lives on the Texas Gulf Coast, I notice every mention of Houston, Galveston etc., It's the same hurricane.

And I suspect that since the director's a Texan as well... he notices too.

Well, yeah, but....again - what are they supposed to do? Unless it's supposed to be a hurricane in Florida? I have no clue where they *said* it was - and i can't tell a Florida hurricane from a Texas hurricane, frankly, though i could probably tell an Oklahoma tornado from a Missouri one.

:)

So, um....is it supposed to be a Florida hurricane and they should have used Florida footage? Am i missing something?
*i'm slightly addled tonight*

They 'said' it was in Galveston. And it was in Galveston. And it was Hermine. And we know because blacklid was headed to Galveston that weekend and remembers the footage.

*pet*

Also, we have you covered from both angles - I'm from Florida and we haven't had a hurricane since 04.

Trust me.

Yay, review awesomeness! A wealth of riches! Thanks I needed that!

;)

Yay for the return of the sexy black dress wearing crossroads demon.

You did notice that Jensen stole this scene from Basic Instinct, right? I don't know whether it was in the script like that, but it didn't have to be, it would have read fine without the touches. Like the blond, Sharon Stone lookalike crossroads demon, and all the business with the chair posture, and the leg crossing. I really think that was Jensen.

but the truth is that Bobby is still living inside wartime, and he's playing by wartime rules.

*nod* He had to know if it would work. Period. He had to have decided that Crowley's senior assistant had done enough evil to jusify obliteration. The death of the host... do we even go there these days? *sad but practical*

Just like Sam. The only difference being that Sam has moved on to a new war.

Guh. Stop doing that to me. NO DON'T YOU DARE

Funny that the only beings holding up their ends of deals this season so far seem to be Sam and Castiel. I ( ... )

I can honestly say I have never seen Basic Instinct. LOL, every week I chagrin you with movies I have not seen.

Uh - no, I didn't think he was kidding. I just forgot what he said. *fixes quote* And I'm not sure what the link has to do with anything ... and since when has there NOT been religious diversity in Supernatural? O.o

Yay for liking Rufus!

The link is just for background. If Rufus is of the Jewish faith, there's a ton of information in that little detail.

Just something I noticed and found interesting. :)

There has always been religious diversity on Supernatural. It's just another one of those misconceptions that seem to perpetuate. And which I still celebrate.

BUT BUT. That's in the past. I was talking in present day, will they remember that it is supposed to be 2011? (But you're right with the tropical storm. I doubt they'll ever actually put a date onscreen again. Or just make this one year stretch long so when the season ends, we'll be caught up again.)

CLOWNSSSS. I will write it. After reversebigbang and sharp_teeth and and...yeah. I'll write it.

I still have The Gambler on vinyl. :P
