Just realized my Twitter updates haven't been reaching my LJ, apparently there were lots of issues with LJ in recent times.  Hopefully those will get worked out soon.

For the September Ebay nibblefest art contest, theme smiling black cats, here is my piece, a river rock portrait....it's based on my rescued cat Charles, who has a lot to smile about these days.  After all, not all black cats are as lucky.  He spent a year in foster care, mostly because lots of people don't give black cats a second look.  I'm so ( Read more... )

 A new commission I just finished yesterday, and got the great news this morning that my client likes it, phew!  It's his 3 lovely dogs, a newfie and 2 Bernese mountain dogs.  I loved painting these big dogs, and gave them a lovely carpet of autumn leaves in the background.  It's one of my largest commissioned pieces to date, 24x30!  Of course ( Read more... )
