Nibblefest contest starts on Ebay tonight!

  Here's my entry to the April Ebay Nibblefest contest, this month's theme Reptiles.  I painted a mountain king snake sunning himself on a river rock.  I loved the beautiful colors of this snake and thought it would be fun to use the contours of this rock as a  canvas and let the natural rock color show through as well.  It's a large rock, around 9 ( Read more... )

lol, I'm surprised you've not seen any slinkies hanging in that garden of yours....I actually don't mind snakes so much. Not that I'd stay in the same vicinity of a rattler or some such similar snake, I have all the respect in the world for them! Interesting, around here, with the extreme drought going on in the southeast of late, there have been more sightings of rattlesnakes and water mocassins in more suburban areas. Poor things, just searching for water.

Oh this is beautiful! The shadowing of his head/tongue is fantastic! And he looks like a nice snake to me! ;-)
