Went to a birthday party for a good friend last night. Had a really nice time, saw a bunch of people I haven't seen in a while, which is always fun, met up with some aquaintences from other similar get-togethers and renewed those as well. Why? Because they're fearful, insecure people with low self esteem...they need to make others feel inferior to make themselves feel superior...OR...they're just stupid hiney heads! lol! ;-)

Also I've noticed that a lot of men seem to think it's not "macho" to like cats...so they say they don't even if they do! what's up with that? Idiots!

i have no idea why people can be such DICKS!

i was at a party once and someone asked me where i was from. i said "NY" and then i said "Buffalo, NY" because most people assume when you say NY they think
NYC.

well, this guy overheard the conversation and said something like "oh, so you can say you're from NY and your NOT from NYC. you shouldn't say "NY"" and on and on. i finally said "what's your problem?" and he dropped it. i don't know why he was being such a moron about it. he was from NY, btw. people are just
weird and stupid and most are awful drivers - LOL!

i have a question for you - what cat litter do you use? have you noticed the
sizes of the containers are smaller? yet they're charging the same prices? i use tidy cats but i'm ready to change :)

I've started using the wheat litter, Jen. It clumps better than ANYTHING. It lasts about a month before it starts to smell regardless of how often you clean it, at which point you need to change it. I switched to it because it doesn't let off that nasty toxic dust, and it isn't silicon crystals that won't dissolve for bazillions of years. It IS flushable, but you'd have to catch it every time your cat used it, and scoop and flush. Plus, the directions say to let it sit in the toilet for 20 minutes before you flush ( ... )

That's funny you say that about NY and NYC....when Bil and I were getting ready to move to MA from AL in the mid-90's, so many people here in AL just assumed we were moving to the concrete jungle, that ALL of MA and for that matter NY were one big city. I said, "ummm, no. In fact, the town we were moving to in western MA, Pittsfield, is maybe a third the size of Huntsville AL, and, it's in the Berkshires which is quite the rural area. And most of NY for that matter is a lot of wild land." One says NE and people just assume "city ( ... )

i have 4 cats....i'm going to try the wheat litter and if it doesn't work out, i'll get the clay :)...should be interesting to see how they react to it - lol.

I think it's mostly about people feeling left out, and insecure about their current surroundings, so the make sure they are being included into what ever is going on. Even if it's in a negative way, their are still including themselves.

Seems like he was feeling compelled to express his disapproval.. probably thought he was being witty. *shrug* Maybe he's one of those folks that have the social graces of your average retarded weasel? I dunno.

Weasels? What an insult to them, lol! Oh, I know....I run into this a lot, for various reasons....cats, tattoos, dogs, artist....I'm just plain weird in many areas. Which I'm fine with, just don't understand why others are not, and sometimes I get to thinking about it. Why some people are so "insistent". But, I do think in a way it perhaps comes from some insecurity. And heck, we've all got those, but, maybe some people who perhaps walk a different path than what is considered the "norm", are not seen by others as being insecure ever?? Know what I mean? And that is threatening to them in a way?

Be that as it may, it's nice to have friends like y'all that are accepting, or, at least, you keep your opinions about how weird I am to yourselves, lol!

I wish I knew what the point was as well sometimes. In general, I am used to it and don't let it get to me. Just sometimes I wonder about it, why people can be that way. Oh well. Not that I am changing any time soon. lol

Speaking of cats...give Nemo some kisses from me. :-)
