A thought experiment about written Tagalog, for fluent readers

If you had to read a text in Tagalog (written in the Latin script) with either of i and e replaced by the other, which would version do you think would be easier, of all-e and all-i? What about o and u?

For o and u only, as I couldn't find an example Tagalog text containing any e quickly - which may be an answer to that part of the question.
Using
the 2005 version of this tale about a monkey tricked by a turtle
as the original with both o and u.
Changing o to u everywhere:
Ang lukung ungguy at ang mautak na pagung
Isang araw habang naliligu ang pagung sa ilug ay may nakita siyang punung-saging na nakalutang at dinadala ng agus.
Nilapitan niya itu at dinala sa tabi. Subalit hindi niya itu kayang dalhin sa lupa.
Kaya tinawag niya si Ungguy para magpatulung. Dahil tinulungan siya ni Ungguy, ibibigay ni Pagung ang kalahati nitu para itanim.
Kaya hinati na itu mula sa gitna hanggang sa dulu ng punung-saging.
