- Spent this time last year with smmc in Phoenix. This was acompanied my many-many misadventures getting there in the first place with only ten minutes to spare. Saw cousins living in Arizona that I hadn't seen in a good number of years -- It's good to know they at least aren't doing too badly

Good post, good philosophy. I wish I was good at journalling...but I think what's already on LJ tells my life for the past year better than anything I could now post.:)

Where did all the locals go?

Well, we'll be back this year. That I can promise you. We're not staying out here for more than six more months, even if I have to leave Wells Fargo's employment to do so.

Thirty years of trans-oceanic flights has left me in the position to unilaterally refute that the journey hold a candle to the destination, but hey, it's your life and I suppose I can't blame you too much given you're largely innocent of the pain and suffering caused by too many hours locked in a flying aluminum tube. :)
