Reread So Long and Thanks For All The Fish a few days ago. Am now entertaining Fenchurch/Ford/Arthur threesome thoughts. Because the tattoo "Property of Fenchurch" on Arthur's arse is right next to the "Property of Ford Prefect" one. She's the sensible one. . . Not as bad as Ashley for a boy, though. O.o Gone With the Wind also has much to answer for.

Mrs. Gardiner mentioned that she remember young Fitzwilliam Darcy as having been a proud child, while talking with what's his nose . . Wickham.

Chapter 25, end: On being made acquainted with the present Mr. Darcy's treatment of him, she tried to remember something of that gentleman's reputed disposition, when quite a lad, which might agree with it, and was confident at last that she recollected having heard Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy formerly spoken of as a very proud, ill-natured boy.

Apparently t'was his mother's surname, which is where him having Col. Fitzwilliam's surname as a given name came in.

However. Fitz Darcy. This explains so very, very much about his character.
