"TO CHARM A FIREARM" - Deaths, Julian De'Ath & the Morrigan taennyn November 9 2011, 19:04:31 UTC
"What's the occasion?" the Morrigan inquired from the hall, and Julian looked up from the neatly laid out stained linen tablecloth and the as-neatly laid out assortment of tools and components.

"Rifle keeps jamming," she said by way of explanation, picking up the barrel and squinting down the length. "And it keeps pulling out of true--last time it was a handspan to the left, the time before a handspan low. (heee. i'd hoped they'd find that one to taste.)

*snork* since it won't shoot straight already i guess there's no reason why not to let the morrigan lay a trick on your rifle. it's julian so she shouldn't have to worry about it exploding--or shooting a little flag that says BOOM! out the end. =D

*shakes head* I kind of want to say "oh, girls" but 1) doesn't feel appropriate for either of them and 2) takes my brain to a different fandom, at present. >_>

I thought they didn't usually use firearms due to the problems inherent in powered metal winding up in irretrievable places?

*cackle*

They don't generally use 'em, no, both due to those problems (gets tricky to take 'em to a gunsmith after you've used 'em a while), and that getting hit with a bullet might drop someone, or might just really annoy them. I have the impression Julian's been experimenting with long-range options--might even guess this isn't terribly long after her knee injury.
