"Well, this is embarrassing."

"The great Morrigan, brought to bay with no weapons and no hope? One would think, yes."

"Hm? Oh, no--what's embarrassing is that this" CLANG "is now powered metal and so I'm going to have to steal half a candelabra set from my host. And possibly hide your body. How old are you, anyway?"

Well, to be fair . . Anyone who hasn't seen the Morrigan in a fight for the joy of it, a fight for the right of it, dancing with a mortal man because she likes him, and channeling her namesake probably hasn't got a prayer of figuring her out. Meeting her from any of those four directions without having seen the others really would contribute to the underestimations and the misestimations.

This is very true. It's just very entertaining to WATCH how many people miss the mark with her.

*laughs!* It really is.

I just have to watch and make sure it doesn't become a caricature, y'know? :)

Yeah, that's the only trick - she needs the contrast, the depth and sudden bubbles of seriousness and suchnot, in order to make the rest of it all shine. Which you've done! It just comes in tiny tastes between the other mouthfuls. ^_^

I'm pleased the balance is kind of coming across--she's strangely easy to write, considering all the delicate little aspects I have to keep an eye on. *flattered!*
