Title: echos of home ’Verse/characters: Wild Roses; Isael, (Ruadhan, Conall, Hernén) Prompt: 026 "Teammates" Word Count: 336 Rating: G Notes: First war, trending towards the beginning. First-person pov experiment.
Interesting what comes of writing the words 'In the privacy of my own head I may call him King, and I do so' down in a blank window. (and yes, I know that's not what's in the prompt up there. Yay, drafts)
And yeah, I just may; it's about the only way to get good solid glimpses of what his former home was like--he's never said much about it. =P
Thank you. It's an interesting departure--usually the closest I get with this one is a relatively close third-person pov, and that's after the wars. (example [ish] bein' here)
. . . how'd she wind up with that high of stakes right off? (Isael did mostly because Ruadhan was dragging him along, and the Bard pokes his nose into everything, and even then, there were limits to what Isael was involved in, simply due to his sheer lack of age.)
