Interesting what comes of writing the words 'In the privacy of my own head I may call him King, and I do so' down in a blank window. (and yes, I know that's not what's in the prompt up there. Yay, drafts)

And yeah, I just may; it's about the only way to get good solid glimpses of what his former home was like--he's never said much about it. =P

Thank you.

Such imagery - it's beautifully written, good narrator you chose. You do first person well!

I like. :) It's good!

Thank you. It's an interesting departure--usually the closest I get with this one is a relatively close third-person pov, and that's after the wars. (example [ish] bein' here)

Apparently not if you were listening to Hernén and Ruadhan argue, but yeah, from this angle. :) Thanks.

:) At this point in time he pretty much is; the tricksy bit is that, metaphorically speaking, he was trained to be a shark himself.

. . . how'd she wind up with that high of stakes right off? (Isael did mostly because Ruadhan was dragging him along, and the Bard pokes his nose into everything, and even then, there were limits to what Isael was involved in, simply due to his sheer lack of age.)
