You really captured what I imagine to be the feel of *being* Galadriel--the sense of many years, of vague melancholy...
The part where she realizes her brother won't turn his head was really moving to me. I've had dreams about people I desperately want to see, and have had precisely that happen--they're just ahead of me and don't hear me calling and don't turn around, or they're at a place, but just as I get there, they're leaving.
Yeah; this is what got me when I read Silmarillion; the same woman we see in LotR, and the whole history happening around her, along with her. So many years.
