It is so weird for me when I'm reading|watching something, and liking it a lot, and then the story approaches the end and it's suddenly badbadwrong. It's still the same person telling the story, how could it be that he/she was right for so long and then suddenly started being wrong? I start thinking that maybe it's me who's getting it wrong, that ( Read more... )

No, not weird at all. I often think the same thing. I think a lot of writers find it hard to stick the dismount, as it were.

Endings - not good endings, but right endings, are hard.

Btw, I'm plotting a book-present for you. Are you feeling SF-ish right now?

... and it's kind of sad, because it spoils the impressions of the rest of the story.

I am, I guess. I think I passed through that phase and now I just feel like good stories of any genre. ))

It is sad. And it always makes me wary about trying anything else by that author, because I don't want to risk it happening again.

And I'm glad about the sf stuff, because now I know exactly what I want to send you!
