He shrugged off the looks that they all were giving him inside. Linkara shrugged and went back to Insano, Chick turned her stool to re-face the counter and twirl the drink in hand, Marz appraised him, her face unreadable. He slid through the crowd, barely feeling the approving caresses, not processing the casual words thrown at him.

In the backroom, he fingered the smooth leather of the skirt with his thumb before wriggling it on, storing his normal (whatever passes for normal here) clothes on the crowded shelf, alongside the remainders of people's lives.
