And you're right, this isn't an extreme in the design price tag landscape, (I was expecting to see a $2300 ticket) but still - I do loathe the "spendy cuz it's trendy" mindset.
I appreciate that artists and designers want to make money, but still.....give it a reasonable markup, line it up for sensible production line, and knock plenty of those puppies out so I can pay $300 for one. $300 isn't ridiculous.
