Too bad it doens't come with a vocal--as you're going out the door--"Take me! Take me!"

And little arms it could wave frantically!

"Nooooooooooooo!"

The funniest two-word phrase I've come across in a long time.

...I hate umbrellas, but I _want_ this. Wow.

(But I fear it would break my heart; I get all excited about the prospect of weather, and when it doesn't happen, I'm sad.)

PS I listen to radio, too!

I'm not super-fond of snow, but I love rain! It always makes my day.

I would kill for rain instead of snow right now.

re: the umbrella -- do you remember my "guy hopping through parallel universes with Ms. Right trying to find Ms. Wrong" story from Clarion? Remember how at the end of it, Ms. Right had a sword that played mp3s?

See, I am the FUTURE!

(Actually, I may have written that it played CDs instead of mp3s. Now I feel old.)

Yes! I can't remember who, but someone thought she would be a much more sympathetic character if she kicked fewer people in the head.

I, on the other hand, recall rather liking that proclivity of hers.

And mp3swords would totally revolutionize the fantasy epic genre.

I listen to radio in my car. And then I download NPR and listen to it, you know, when I want to. Ahem.

I am trying to get into podcasts, etc, but have to get better at habituating transferring things onto and off of my mp3 player.

I listen to the radio a lot, usually while cooking, doing dishes, etc. So I just need one in the house. I do sometimes download podcasts of radio shows for on the go, though.

I listen to the radio, but rarely for anything but NPR. I would love a device that worked like a Tivo, but recorded All Things Considered and Fresh Air for me so I could listen to them at leisure.

That would be fantastic. I just swung over to their website and they do podcasts, but not Fresh Air or All Things Considered.

Oh HEY, I was about to publish this comment, but then I managed to find something - they DO have podcasts/mp3 downloads of Fresh Air, though not of All Things Considered.

So you can subscribe to at least one, and listen to the other online. I need to get my iTunes podcast subscriptions in better order.
