Finding a room in this “hotel” that didn’t have dead humans littering the decor wasn’t easy, so in the end I settled for cleaning one out myself…Dru and I had to get some minions. The room could have been worse, god knows I'd stayed in worse...of course I'd stayed in far better too, but then I had to remind myself; I wasn't in Sunnydale fine dining ( Read more... )

I slunk back into the hotel, the hateful smells of graveyard dirt and lost battles still clinging to me. Ooh, it was horrid, the Slayer ripped from my grasp and just when we’d begun playing, too. But then I remembered, there was no need to fret, the stars said as much, sang down their plans into my head and promised me that there’d be time enough for punishing naughty girls later on ( ... )

Everything was happenin' way too fast for me to keep up with it all. First I was fighting the evil vampires and Spike was playin' spectator. Then Spike was fighting one evil vampire, while the other one pretty much was hittin' on him I thought. Felt like I was in the middle of one evil undead soap opera ( ... )

“You know William, I always despised you. But at least when you were killing Slayers I could respect you. Of course, now that you’re screwing them instead, I don’t really see the point in keeping you around.” She was bloody quick. Damn it if she didn't have a few hundred years of fighting experience on me, and I thought that I was a goner when the stake came plunging towards me, I flung up an arm in a fruitless attempt to bloke the blow and then watched in amazement when Drusilla cried out and tackled Darla, putting off her aim. The stake bit into my arm, but missed the heart. While Darla was picking herself up again, I yanked the stake free, a snarl on my lips. So much for talk ( ... )

It all happened so fast. Too fast. Flashing limbs, bright explosions of pain and blossoming dust clouds and then…nothing.

Only the smell of old lace and older death all turned to dust under the blackened sun…

My gaze turned to them; their horrid visages were cut up, obscured by rage and the hair that curtained my face, but I could stills see, oh yes, could’ve seen the ending to this awful story with pins bloodying my eyes. Five sharp points of pain blossomed on my skin as I clutched my chest, nails ripping, trying to hold in the screaming pixies that wanted to burst forth from inside and yell and shred and tear as the pain of Grandmum’s cruel departure ripped through me ( ... )

I raised an eyebrow and watched as the other vamp flung herself through the glass doors and disappeared. Kind've a dramatic exit but it was all good. Sure I'd see her again sometime soon. Still felt a shiver travel down my spine when I thought about how she'd bitten me. How weird it made me feel. Had to fight the urge to put the palm of my hand to the bite marks on my throat.

Instead I turned back to Spike, and put the stake back into my jacket pocket.

"Figures, I stake her girlfriend and vamp chick's gotta bail out on all the fun."

With a shrug, I walked out the way we'd come in not even stoppin' to see if Spike was taggin' along. I already knew he would. Had questions for him, but it occured to me that I might save 'em for Angel instead.
