*waves* Hullo! Well, 'Snowpocalypse' came and went, and it wasn't ver 'pocalypic' here - just freezing rain, slushy snow (2 inches?) and cold cold cold. A few hours north, though, my poor

I looooove your icon! And I am all a-swoon over your snippet. I swear you write some of the very best sensory detail of anybody writing in English! "Scrubs the strange, dead-numb areas of skin that disappear under the metal of his arm"--his first shower in--what, decades? And he remembers how to do it, that it felt good, was a good thing to do, but not that soap in the eyes stings. This is amazing and makes me want to read Steve/Bucky--*yours*, though, as the ones I've taken a chance on have been deeply lacking.
Thank you! I love it, too - by casey28, totally shareable. (Even though yours isn't, it always makes me think of Mr. Tumnes and Narnia. :D )
Awww, thank you for that. I get frustrated when writers seem to just gloss four out of the five senses. It's important stuff!
I have written some Steve/Bucky (on my AO3), so please - enjoy! And then go to my AO3 bookmarks and read all the Steve/Bucky there because holy gods. Owlet? Silentwalrus? SO FUCKING GOOD.
I can give you a list if you'd rather not poke at my bookmarks, but there is some *awesome* stuff in there.
I've never seen the movies, so I don't know the 'verse, but as always you write such wonderfully vivid description that I was right there with him in the latrine feeling that water. That was super, hon.
Always interesting to hear how others approach writing. 'Radio' is still one of my favourite chapters of Changes, even after all these years, so it's lovely to think that was the kernel of the whole story.
And yes, yes, we need to be kind to ourselves. RL generates enough unkindness without us adding to it.
Good luck with the writing, hon. You do it so wonderfully well. :)
Aw, thank you so much! You really should watch Captain America and The Winter Soldier. They are *so* good, and they really will tell you everything you need to know without having to watch a bunch of other stuff.
You could watch Civil War if you liked the first two enough - it shouldn't have been a Captain America movie (should have been Avengers), but SO MUCH BUCKEEEEEEE and some excellent backstory and all, so..... ANYway - i'm a fan, so i can't help but encourage. :D
I'm so happy to hear that about 'Radio'! It was so sad and nostalgic and sweet, for me, when i wrote it - i really liked it, but didn't know if people would think it worked as well as I thought it did. I have always loved that Spike had a past and first-hand knowledge of so many interesting things, and have always been frustrated that that wasn't ever touched on much in the series or in a lot of fics.
Thank you thank you! *smooch* I appreciate your, hell - decade+ of support. :D
Research is my motivator in those times; i cannot write, even a line or two, about asteroid core-drilling without researching real-life mining and deep-sea drilling so i have some clue how it all *works*.
I hope you don't get lost in the research. Because it's down the rabbbit hole for me! XD
Oh, i love research! I do get a little lost sometimes, but it definitely is a motivator. Every really big story i've done has its own folder full of bookmarks full of research on my computer.
