Hello! Thanks, everyone, for the commiserations. Seems the hd is toast, so I'm waiting on a new one. Lucky for me, my computer is a few years old, so a new hard drive won't break the bank. I'm right with you hun, my tablet is SO not the same as my p.c and awkward as hell! *hugs* I'm keeping it all crossed for your important bits getting saved (If my bookmarks disappeared I'd cry for a month!)

Got my new hd in the mail a couple days ago and have been configuring and futzing with things ever since.
AND found a mid-Dec backup of my bookmarks, thank *gods*, so i'm going along all right. It's just a pain, re-setting everything and dl'ing all the little programs and things i had before.
