i totally get you on that...
i agree completely- even tho sometimes i do make meals with prepared stuff (like cream of mushroom soup and such) but i look for those recipes SPECIFICALLY bc i need to cut corners and am looking to save time. but it irks me too when i go to look for a recipe and all you can find are shortcut recipes.
you are still better off with your old olschool cookbook that includes how to cook oppossum! LOL

LOL YAY for old cookbooks. I went online to look for pizza dough. I though "If i look for pizza recipes I'll find on." EVERY one of them I looked at was either frozen pizza dough or pizza dough mix.

there are about 4million on cooks.com.... which is actually the problem. and that website you actually have to pay attention- they are recipes subbed by viewers so are hit or miss sometimes- like missing steps or wrong measurements of things etc. but if you know what you are doing (and i know that you do) you can figure stuff out. it's nice to have so many options for certain things you are looking for- pizza dough in particular i have done well with.
