I didn't end up taking as many pictures at Brushwood/Camping as I wanted to. Too much dancing around the fire with the Dionysians seems to have that effect. Not that that is a bad thing. I still managaed to get a few good photos. The one of the toad has to be my favorite.

The June Bug or June Beetle: Family Melolonthinae bear club like antennae and stripes of white hairs. This is a native species. The most common eastern species are green (not shiny), black and white striped and shiny orange.
The Japanese beetle: Family Rutelinae is shiny and colorful. This is an invasive species. This species is shiny and has the characteristic black and white stripes on the edge with a reddish shine to the back and a greenish shine to the head. These look like colored chrome in the sunlight for a good descriptive term.
There are counts for claws on the feet and length of the claws to determine which is which.
