Christmas Present

Crystal, not sure if you ever check LJ anymore, but if you do: Drew brought your Christmas present to the studio last night. He left it with Daniel. You'll know it's yours as it has your name on the outside of the card, that's taped to the gift. :-) (Incase you only find a card...then you know Daniel took the gift! *wink ( Read more... )

Since you're a mommy, I have a question for you.

Would you let your rugrats decide what they wanted for Xmas and that you ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY had to buy it for them no matter what?

I'm trying to explain to my 13 year old sister that Christmas doesn't work that way and she won't freaking listen to me. She is such an entitlement brat. She's expecting my dad to buy her a freaking $800 electric guitar for her.

How about "no". t_tyme December 21 2005, 13:04:18 UTC
Keep in mind that I'm not your average push-over parent. I'm pretty strict, but as mean as I am, I'm equally as full of love and affection..so I'm sure my kids don't hate me too much. ;-)

With that in mind: Hell no! In my house, it's a pay for performance type of reward lifestyle. I have pretty good kids, many would agree, and I would not do a G-D thing for them if they demanded anything. Now if your sister were a high honor student, donated her time, own money and/or sweat to worth while causes, and your parents were insanely wealthy, then maybe yes, she could get the guitar for $800. But seeing as how someone would intently demand such a gift, I'm not thinking that she's the worthy recipient of what potentially loaded parents could buy for her.

Would your dad actually cave to such a demand? If so, gimme his number. I would like to see if he's interested in adopting a 28 year old daughter. *wink*
