"Sporty Sweetheart Summer Dress" T-Shirt ReCon

Feeling crafty...found old shirts...cut...cut...cut...sew...sew...sew...I make scHtuF!

The other night, I had a idea on something I could make out of this "Hooligans" shirt that is way too big for me now (I've lost 30 pounds since I bought it!) and while the final result didn't match my original plan, I'm still pretty pleased with how it came out

Love it! Did you gather the top after cutting the sleeves off and then re-attach? I'd love to do a neckline like that on one of my soon to be recons. :)

Yep, exactly! :D I cut the sleeves off and added the tabs (as if I was gathering a tank top's shoulder area), and then sewed the sleeves back on. I copied the idea from another top I bought (it had a v-neck with the gathers, for a true sweetheart neckline). I like how it can work with more than one type of neckline though (this one ended up a scoop neck). Thanks for commenting!
