Thanks for sharing. They are both manipulative bastards here. Short comment I know, but I don't read much House fic since a long time, and this is not a pairing I would think about.

I know, I'm not really in House fandom anymore either, and House/Foreman was never a pairing I was particularly invested in. But I did enjoy the challenge of trying to write a character I wasn't very familiar with.

I did wonder what that implied--that they had this arrangement already?
That was kind of what I was going for, yes. Try as I might, I couldn't manage to see the chemistry between House and Foreman enough to write something with a definitive established relationship between them, so I went for the not-so-subtle implication cop-out. Ahem. It's a bit of a cheat, but I figured if I went for something definitive that I wouldn't be able to justify to myself in regards to characterization, the outcome wouldn't be a satisfactory read to anyone. I'm glad to hear it worked for you!

And I hear you about the rare pairing thing. I had it fairly easy in House, but in other fandoms, I haven't been quite as lucky. If you're not shipping the main fandom OTP, it becomes so hard to find fic, never mind fic that does the characters justice.

I have to say, I have a hard time seeing it myself, but that made the story interesting to write--having to think outside of your self-defined box can be fun, sometimes. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) Thanks for your comment.
