Okay, so I bought this book like forever ago, and never got around to reading it... for some reason (not sure where I got this idea), I thought, since it was written by a convicted murderer, that it was going to be some kind of interesting autobiography. I would watch a movie like this... but when I read books, I like to be a little intellectual. Believe it or not.

Read Dorsai! (no I'm not being excited about it, the exclamation just comes with it). That book would be an awful lot better if had been written by an actual member of the mafia. If a murderer can get away with it, why not ex-mafia? That is pretty bad though... you'd think a murderer would be able to be a little more gratuitous in his language. He must be one of those issues killers.

The main character (the reporter who is going to BRING DOWN THE MAFIA!) is obviously based on the author, who was a reporter after he got out of prison (the character is an ex-con, too).
