I tend to agree with you on the Utena/Evo characters. There really isn't anything redeemable about TV!Touga, and Kitty needs all the support she can get. I also like Percy--his family situation is not as black and white as some fans think. Hooray for memes!
There really isn't anything redeemable about TV!Touga Agreed, at least the manga version actually started caring and the movie version was never bad to begin with.
his family situation is not as black and white as some fans think. Exactly. Why bother with a family that never respects you and considers you the butt of every joke? And what he said to Arthur during their fight, well, it's true, isn't it?
Yeah, one of the few things I liked about the Utena manga was that it fleshed out Touga--he was still manipulative, but not a one-dimensional bastard.
Poor Percy. The drawback to the books being told from Harry's perspective is that everything is very one-sided. Percy doesn't agree with the rest of the beloved Weasleys so he's automatically wrong, all Slytherins are evil, etc.

One of the biggest problems with the books is that it doesn't seem like to be only Harry's opinion. If it was addressed that, yes, it's only Harry's POV, he is not always right and so on, but I just don't see it.
