I too wonder if Andrew had/has something in his contract about no sex/nude scenes.

What an awesome relief that would be if it was true... it's kind of getting old having to skip those scenes.

Andrew doesn't have a sex scene but there is one in the movie... if you watch it, be warned you'll have to FF that part.

They don't bother me they just annoy me because for the most part they don't serve any purpose other than to really entertain the people watching it. And for someone like me, it's just more irritating than anything. There are few sex scenes that actually further a plot and so far, I've seen only two. The first was in an episode of "Hotel Babylon" where it put poor James in a really awkward position and then in "A Fish Called Wanda" where one scene showed the severe contrast between one couple and another. And I don't think I'll be watching "High Speed", doesn't quite interest me that much. :/

I really enjoyed A Fish Called Wanda, I should add that to my list. I understand what you mean about the sex scenes; they tend to be peppered throughout most movies/series without much purpose to the plot.

Oh, have you decided on a date to have a re-watch of The Bunker? I'd love to watch it with you and whomever else interested.

I just noticed your mood icon, hee! Brilliant.

I was poking around on IMDB recently for A-LP stuff, and I noticed the High Speed/The Ride thing. I'm not sure what is going on there, I ended up thinking that they were the same film, that it was perhaps two different release titles for the same thing, maybe? I don't know, I could be wrong on that.

I'm starting to think you might be right about the sex/nude scenes. The nearest he's ever got to taking his clothes off in aything I've ever watched is the odd shirtless scene, and those are few and far between.

Thanks, as soon as I upgraded I got to work on it :)

Yeah I thought originally it was the same movie too. Now I'm not as sure (and clearly I'll investigate) because I see it listed separately on other sites now. I'll let you know if I find out for sure.

Right, it seems logical that he has said 'no' to them, considering we never see them. Wonder what his reasoning would be for that?

Andrew has a solid reputation in British tv for playing real 'character' roles, either as scary psycho types or cute but quirky/eccentric types, so maybe he thinks it might damage that image if he also gets known for getting his kit off at the slightest provocation.

Also, the kind of parts that he tends to play are only very rarely the kinds where he gets to have sex scenes anyway, so maybe it's a feedback loop - he doesn't normally play sex-scene type characters, so people don't think of him when they are looking for actors to fill those kind of parts, so he never gets offered the sex-scene roles.

Good point. Not many of the films, or series, for that matter, have required a sex scene from him. I never really thought about it until watching High Speed, which makes sense; HS is really the only movie where I could have seen his character having sex. oops... I seem to have rambled on about A-LP's lack of sex in film!

I'm glad you liked High Speed, I really liked it too.

I think I still prefer him with slightly longer hair but he still looked gorgeous with the cropped hair.

I think I mentioned once about him not doing nude/sex scenes. Even in High Speed, there's a bit of kissing then it quickly cuts away whereas Paul Nicholls had Sienna Miller bouncing up and down on him!

It was good, lots of angsty-Andrew. And I do love him angsty ;)

I think if I had to choose I would pick his floppy hair over the super-short cut. But I think it worked in the movie well; gave him a harder look as a rider. Yep, he's gorgeous either way!

I know! I thought with the kissing and her taking his clothes off we'd see sex... and like you said, it quickly cuts away... Paul Nicholls was a pretty face too. I'm not much of a Sienna Miller fan; but she was definitely riding Ruben in that one scene!
