What kind of search engine is this??

The new cuil.com doesn't know what fried eggs are? This certainly doesn't bode well. I'm sure they have a lot of tweaking with their engine and database to do to optimize things, but come on.

Another thing that doesn't bode well -- there was a question on "Wait, wait" this week, the answer to which was "cuil", and 1) despite having discussed the name in your last post on the subject, I couldn't remember it by spelling, and 2) if I'd remembered the spelling, I'd still have never expected it to be pronounced "cool". I'd have guessed "coil".

I think of it as "cull".

Which, since that means remove / take away, it doesn't go well in my logic-brain as a search engine, whose jobs is to provide, not take away.

Hard to spell, hard to pronounce names are a fast way to a dead end for a product.
