I stopped for a few moments to look at the sky while taking Ajay on a short "physical therapy" walk tonight. It's the Perseid meteor shower and while I was too tired and distracted to stay long, I did see two meteor streaks in a couple of minutes. It was a little early for peak viewing, and there was some haze and a lot of light pollution, so that

We definitely saw a meteor shower in Texas. I wonder if that was it. Or part of it.

If it was Sunday night, that was it. The entire earth moves through the cometary debris in its orbit, so the shower is visible all across the globe.

No it was earlier in the week. Hmm. It was cool though.

He's doing better and better... using the bad leg more and more. At first he was just touching it to the ground, but I saw actual weight on it for the first time yesterday, so he may actually recover all the way!
