I've decided to try out for Canadian Idol. (For you United Staticans, yes, it's the up-north version of your American Idol, but without the big stars for judges.) No big aspirations, but hey, it's here, I might as well go down and see if I can still impress ( Read more... )

I'd pick Fly Me To The Moon, Tony Bennet style, and It Don't Mean A Thing, a la Louie Armstrong. But that's just me... =<.<=

Yup, I can sing. It's one of my favourite things to do too.

I'm going to do one upbeat song and one that's mellower...I'm thinking "Like Someone In Love" (old jazz standard) for the upbeat one, and "Only Hope" (Mandy Moore) for the mellow one. They're both in my range and I know them very well.

It's very well possible I'll change my mind before then, though.

I'll only be on the show if I'm REALLY good or REALLY bad, and I don't know if it's broadcast outside of Canada...if I were to get on, I'll most definitely look into it, but don't keep your hopes up. I'm just doing it for fun.

A Canadian celebrity though, does that count? Name the Canadian celebrities that you know...not counting the ones that made it big south of the border...come on, how many can you come up with?

(I'll forgive you if you can name anyone from Royal Canadian Air Farce, or Red Green, WITHOUT looking it up =^.~=)
