Argh. This is the worst part of the whole trip, sitting alone at the airport waiting for the plane. I can stand the separation, I can stand the distance, but those first partial hours apart just tear of up inside. It won't be forever, it won't be forever....

(Thank goodness for cell phones!)

Cell phones are great, especially for that reason.

When I wait in an airport for my plane like that, and I have said goodbye to my family or Saiki or whoever, I feel empty and like the time I spent (on whichever side) was a dream.

Those times are the pits! But, like you said, thank goodness for cell phones. Now, you just gotta talk him into a cam-phone, so you can see, as well as hear him :)
