In This World and the Next Chapter 9

It's been a while, I know, but I'm back. I can't make any promises as to a schedule, but I'm hoping to get cracking with this and Hogwarts Overexposed over the coming year.

Also, if you haven't already, check out A Perfectly Ordinary Nightmare: I wrote it as a reaction to the first chapter of ITWATN. It's basically how that set-up would pan out if ( Read more... )

Sirius found himself thrown from his chair and pinned to the wall by an invisible, yet very powerful force, Harry's expression as he faced his godfather was one of pure fury. "You will do nothing and say nothing, this doesn't concern you. You were dead by the time they got together and will not interfere this time either."

I think SCBE has Bipolar Disorder or some shit. That's the only explanation I can find for him just randomly attacking Sirius like this.

Part of why this review stalled so badly is that I was running out of ways to say, "Harry in this fic is a complete dickhead." That, and I was trying to read a few of this author's numerous fics at once and one is frankly too many.

No kidding. I think we all understand, now: Robst's madness is best taken in tiny doses...

To Harry, being compared to Dumbledore was nearly as bad as being likened to Voldemort. One bastard had sent him into the forbidden forest to die while the other had done his best to accomplish the deed.

I love how Robst Harry is conveniently forgetting that Dumbledore knew, all along, that Harry wasn't going to die due to Voldemort's taking of Harry's blood...

Oh, that's where. You'll forgive my confusion, because not!Hermione's POV isn't exactly familiar territory for this fic.

How about we call her "The Strong, Independent Doormat" or "TSID" from now on, eh? Further distance this tripe from the excellent book series.

ITWATN in a nutshell. Honestly, OotP!Harry looks calm and well adjusted next to the supposedly adult SCBE.

Isn't it hilarious how Robst likes to continuously lift parts of the final three books that he hated with such a passion and just toss them into his story?
