We finally got a car! Daniel is finalizing the paperwork on Monday! I'm so excited! He won't have to take a cab home from work when he works late anymore. And we do *real* grocery shopping trips again, and get ourselves to SGI activities, and maybe even go to Boston and Brattleboro once in awhile. Huzzah huzzah

Exciting about the car! I hope that it's something that will prove reliable for you guys! I know that more people should use public transportation and the damage that's done from everyone having their own car and all that: But, there's nothing that can replace the feeling of knowing that you can just hop in and go wherever you want whenever you want.

Glad that your classes are stimulating and rewarding! Mine are going to all start kicking in tomorrow, so I'll start to get super busy, too.

http://www.sbcds.org/contradance/whatis/ is a fun explanation of contra-dancing. It's big around here, but I wouldn't be surprised if you found people doing it in Washington. I strongly recommend it.

Yes, we're very excited about the car. I'm strongly in favor of public transportation, but it isn't strong enough out here. Daniel has to take the cab to work far too much, or take 2 buses! This way he can be much more efficient. And our current place is really hard to shop from. Anyway, I'll be taking the bus to school most of the time still.
