Um... yeah. I don't really use FB much, but would seriously have to question certain levels of kewlness if my mom friended me... (She doesn't have a computer, yet alone internet. Heck, I gave her her first DVD player for Christmas...)
Yes. I expected a response like that, and I have a rationale. While to you I may be a "child," to many others I am entering into adulthood. Furthermore, the people who I high five with (and bear in mind, I do not always initiate) range from the ages of children to a bit older, and that includes a very healthy number of people you're age. And you fall into neither category. So there. :-P (Yes, ending response is childlike. You see me as such, so I might as well play along.)
Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a wasted opportunity to prove yourself... :)
You do realize why I think you a child, yes? It is because I have known you practically your whole life. I am (over)protective of you. If, in my mind, I can keep you a child, then all I need worry about is that maybe you fall down and scrape your knee, or fall off the swingset. Growing up is a much scarier proposition; one in which I can do little or nothing at all to protect you. It is unrealistic, but it helps when I know that there is nothing I can do...
