Wow. I don't even know what to say, to be honest. How do you always leave me speechless?! And in a good way too! This is heartbreakingly perfect and beautiful and ugly all at once. The little details here and the grief... just wow. Thank you for this.

Brutal! Intense! You certainly delivered on your promise! ;)

Also, for laughs, I can't help but think: what would Joanna think?

Thank you! It was a long hard road with this one.

Seriously, I wonder about what Joanna thinks occasionally. I like to think that her romance novel writing means she wouldn't be too scandalized by this scenario, but who's to say? I honestly hope she's not out there somewhere, reading and turning red as a beet.

So much to like! It was raw and unexpected. They were manipulative and mean and difficult to like here, but fascinating because it was an extreme low point. So interesting to see what these two do when they're broken, but they won't put each other back together.

Also, it's so taboo from the canon that I have an extra little joy in it for that fact alone, haha!

Thank you! I can't help loving them more when they're so broken. It just provides all these opportunities for mean angst that ends in utter desolation, which I love even more for some weird reason. I will try for a happier story in J, which, as it turns out, is a sequel story to F, so we'll just see how I manage that! I might just wind up digging them a little deeper into this sexy/angsty quagmire I've created recently.

\o/ After reading ur Ash/Brad, I always go back to the OG books and think, "WHY!! SO MUCH UST BETWEEN ASH AND BRAD!!!" Why did she pair up Mike/Ash, seriously, NO CHEMISTRY, or maybe you just warped my brain. ;)

It is entirely possible that I have warped your brain! But I don't think you're alone in seeing the UST between Ashleigh and Brad in the books, if that makes you feel better. You can only have Ashleigh insist she's not attracted to him so much before it sounds like she's protesting too much. And then there's Brad over there constantly pestering her about her boyfriend and she keeps saying he's not my boyfriend. It's outrageous!

Or maybe it's more fun to read the books that way. ;)
