Ha! Thanks, oh demanding one.

Yes, I know it's a little brief, but I have a paying job to maintain, unfortunately, so I wanted to get as many parts up on the weekend as I could manage. Otherwise, I'm writing Gabs when I should be writing press releases, and the boss gets cranky. Don't know why.

If anyone wants to employ me to write Xena full-time, I'd be comfortable with that.

Haha, I didn't mean it that way :) would be great if I had the opportunity to employ you though.

I just thought: damn, another (momentary) ending - only this time it's way meaner ... xD

Thank you Sapph. Always nice to see you drop by.

I'm glad Gabs is getting better too - I know it's a flash back, but still - angsty :)

Yay! The horsey is okay! I, too, look forward to learning the wisdom of the old healer. Nice work, Red!

As promised - the horse is fine :) Fortunately it was carrying a precious load.

I'm looking forward to learning her wisdom too - she's not very forthcoming, even for me.

Thanks, Sister x

This is just astoundingly good! And I'm so glad I get to read so many installments at once! Of course, that's mainly because I've gotten behind on my flist.

This is beautifully written and imagined and so, so heartbreakingly good. I know how difficult this must be to write (not just the technical stuff, but how hard it is to maintain voice like this) and I'm so grateful that you're doing it. Love the use of Sappho as the best kind of audience, also one that drives Xena to jealous distraction.

Oh sky, it is so nice to have you drop by again. Particularly since I will always be indebted to you for rec'ing me against the rules ;)

Your feedback has me all a-blush and splotchy.

Re: the voice. Funny you should say that, because it is surprisingly hard. Sometimes I sit down and I'll write pages and pages, and then when I read over them, I realise I've completely lost the narrative and they're in the bin. It's devastating and infuriating at the same time. But hey, it drives me to do better :)

Glad you noted Sappho-as-audience - i thought it was novel that the bard-turned-warrior holds a star enthralled. It has layers, I tells ya.

I endeavor to continue rising to your high standards. And thank you again x
