Awesome Pike/McCoy story

severinne posted another story in her "The Wind and its Satellite" series, namely Recuperation - and it's awesome IMVHO. I read it sometime during my vacation and frequently thought back to it and about it over the course of the following days, which doesn't happen very often with fic. Intense, angsty, hopeful, with many great details woven in. Heartily ( Read more... )

Welcome back! Glad you had a good kinky vacation. I was out of town too, visiting one of my partners. In a grand universal irony, her libido has completely disappeared, while mine has risen, and we ended up mainly talking. A lot. Which was good, and I think was very helpful for her, but not exactly what I was expecting.... A double irony is that her husband's libido has also risen. I got to hear stories about his recent adventures into the gay male San Francisco world, which he hadn't been involved in for over 30 years, including the Folsom street leather scene, which he had never been involved with at all. He discovered he's a Dom, has acquired a boyfriend..... My head is still spinning ( ... )

*giggles* Reading my comments in other people's journals...? Yes, there will be angst AND happy ending. Promised! *G*

I wanted to take a tiny shortcut - like, moving forward a week or two. But to no avail. Damn bastards :P

Your friends' dynamic sounds interesting, even if it probably causes some problems on the way. I see that I can find the energy to write about my vacation, there was some poly stuff inside too :)

PS -- Reread Rochade through Interval in Green this afternoon, over at your AO3 account. As good as ever. The Pike-Jim scenes always get me.

Very fascinating and intense post-Narada story, thanks for the link!

As for my Draws writing: I tried so hard to shorten the intro to the next part but the characters slapped my face, reminding me that this series is written in sequence and they're unwilling to live with any more shortcuts

Hehe, now I have an image of Kirk, Pike and McCoy plotting in the corner how to dominate you. The whole situation sounds annoying but so far, you've always been able to come up with something fitting and brilliant so I have faith in you, no matter how long it takes to solidify on the page. *hugs*

The situation is annoying but well, I need to get through it. I know most of what I want to have in the story, but the first pages will set the taste and feel of it all, and therefore are the most important part in a way. Sigh.

*rehugs*
