There's plenty of anime I remember being around that long. The whole reason this series is happening is Nickelodeon trying out 'telenovellas' so, I was kinda expecting this.

But.

If we as fans continue to ultra-squee, I'd bet money on Korra being far from the last Avatar we see.

Also, in 12 episodes they'll be able to up the quality on a lot of stuff I'm sure. Republic City alone is going to be..a huge time investment. Both in ideation and execution. My minds eye totally sees it with awesome Tekkon Kinkreet backgrounds or something.

Me too :). I'm especially looking forward to any Spirit World meetings between Korra and Aang <3 I'm really going to miss that kid.

Personally, I'm not that surprised by the length. They DID say that after ATLA they wanted to focus on miniserieseseses, didn't they?
