Ha! I completely left that part out. I've pointed it out to so many people today I guess I just thought I had already done so here, too. S-M-R-T! Anyways, if you count the rows on the flap, it's 3 black, 1 blue, 4 black, 1 blue, and so on... 3.141592653589 is as far as it goes.
The only other hayride I've gone on in my life was a totally lame one out in the middle of nowhere, so this was a vast improvement and a lot cooler than I expected :D

*grin* Some hayrides are soooo lame! Most that I've been to involved a bonfire + roasting marshmallows either before or after the hayride, so that's part of my happy memory connection :D
That was the original plan, but I realized that I am lazy and didn't want to either chart out an intarsia pattern or duplicate stitch it. So I went with stripes :P

heheh... the hayride sounds like fun! I am sad. I haven't gotten to go on a hayride yet this fall & chances are slimming as fall winds down!
