It feels like I am making slow progress in my piano practices. I have settled into a routine during my 60+ minutes practice sessions: I start off with practicing Hanon exercise (No. 1) for the first ten minutes, then work on chords and scales for the next ten minutes. Then I spend about 15-20 minutes working through the exercises in The Piano Read more... )

Long Duck Dong was teh cute too :D one of my first crushes!

The birdy that ya have labeled as a "baby Mallard"is a Wood Duck. They are far more striking and elegant in detail in comparison to an actual Mallard. Not that it matters cause they are all PRETTY and i wants to maul them!:D

Yesh that would be fun. i know there is an actual kind of duck park off 82nd out there some where i think. I used to go to it when i lived in my house out there.

Silver Falls is also amazing. I am going next sunday with who ever else wants to wonder the waters and trees!I am certainly going to picnic there too!

Well, funk a duck. I thought that the baby was a mallard. I changed the description (/me gets schooled by bella).

Would you like company on Sunday for the Silver Falls expedition? I will chip in for gas and conversation.

i've never seen a scrub jay before. are they birds native only to the NW?

I think that Scrub-Master Jay birds are primarily a West Coast thing....they are supposedly known as "aphelocoma." :)

Those gardens are one of my favorites spots in Portland-Patrick and I used to pick up lunch and eat it there all the time so I could take photos-if you go to www.divineassassin.com I have a bunch of photography I took there :)

I had no idea that the place existed until last year....and it wasn't until just recently that I had the itch to visit the garden. The tranquility of the space is amazing. :)
