how do you know what his air handling is like in his studio? it could be a fine environment for that ARP. anyway, it's way worse on that computer than the ARP. fortunately the macintosh is disposable.

also, these instruments exist to be _instruments_. not museum pieces. tools get used in less than optimal situations.

i'd rather have my tools being used in an opium den by a musician than kept under glass by a collector.

Not only is Mr. The Suit a smoker, but he also is an advocate of smoker's rights. And then don't forget that he is so hardcore, that when he is building synthesizer modules he not only smokes while he's doing it, but he forces his slaves/helpers to smoke while they work (and one poor little dude named Dy-lan wasn't even a smoker)since obviously they won't sound at all right without that layer of tar.

Now, regarding the computer, a good friend of mine works on them all day and his own don't even have the case covers on, and they run all day and all night and have worked fine for years.

Regarding the 2600...well they are just so cool that nothing else even matters...
