At the very least it offers a method for resolving disputes amongst a team of writers. Alternately it might make it easier for a group of writers to get good at working together to build stories.
It's a lot of fun. I would describe it as a cross between Calvin-ball and Once Upon a Time with no winning.
It's certainly not your traditional RPG, but there is role-playing involved (potentially more than in your typical D&D game), and it's slanted toward people who are accustomed to RPGs.
