As someone who looks for the hardest cross stitches possible, that's something I'd LOVE to try. It looks wonderful!

There's a great program you can get for like $100 that will translate any picture to a cross stitch or tapestry pattern.

It's awesome.

I could find if for you if you're interested?

That would be wonderful. Thank you!

I used to have one on my old computer but it crashed and burned. I can't recall the name but I had planned on making some patterns from friends' art (with permission of course!)

Can't recall the name. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the one you were thinking of!

Thanks, Thaily - I'll tell her! I just don't know HOW she does it! Well, I know how she does it, I just couldn't imagine having the patience or skill to do it myself....

WOW. That is truly amazing. I used to cross-stitch as a kid, so I know what a pain in the butt it is.. ESPECIALLY counted cross-stitch. 0_o
And 99 thread colors? ARGH!

Your mother-in-law is amazing, and this is absolutely gorgeous. You said it was still a WIP, so I'd love to see it when it's entirely finished (although it looks pretty close now).

EDIT: And so is your art, of course. I've always loved your lions...I have one of them on a coaster I bought when you were offering Cafe Press stuff. LOVE IT...it sits on my desk and I use it every day. =)

Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness, yes! I did it as a kid too, but I think the most complicated thing I did was a teddy bear with a scarf, and I think I messed it up too XD

I'll let her know! I will definitely take pictures when she's finished. :)

And thank you for the kind words too! *blushes* That really means a lot to me, thank you. :)
