me too!

luckily we live on the very end of tornado alley, and the river valley that we live in is irregular and tends to break up any biggies. the funny thing is, the only time i've managed to be w/in spitting distance of a tornado was growing up on the coast of texas, when one went through our backyard while i was at school (but my dad was at home).

lol. when i had a big broad-sided mini-van on a drive from austin to lubbock, we kept having dirt-devils zig-zag across the road, threatening to blow us into fences and the occasional 18-wheeler coming the opposite direction.

lol. yeah. but there will be natural disasters wherever you go. where i live now mostly gets flash-floods & hail; everything else we get the teeny version of due to unique geography (teeny earthquakes, teeny tornadoes, teeny hurricanes...).

I was directly under a dinky little F2; it picked up a friend of mine before she got into the car. It was at that point that she decided to move to LA and be a high-priced copyright lawyer (which she is.)

As for me, I moved out of the land of sweltering humidity and tornadoes, to that of fog, rain, earthquakes, and active volcanoes. The next ten years (and Mt. Rainier) will tell if I made the right choice.
