Title: Prompt 6 - Berdine, Denna and Raina babysit

They didn't know how it happened, they just knew that somehow... it did...
Three Mord'Sith were suffering from mental breakdowns.
Mistress Denna, soon to be wife of the new Lord Rahl, Richard, was curled up on the floor, knees drawn to her chest, rocking back and forth, her eyes wide, reflecting the horrors she had witnessed.
Mistress Berdine, favorite of the Mother Confessor and the Lord Rahl was hiding under the rather large bed, no amount of coaxing could lure her out.
Mistress Raina, consort to the Mistress Berdine and confidant to the Mother Confessor's wife, had barred herself up in the closet, not even the First Wizard could pry it open with magic.
Word had been sent to the Mother Confessor and her Mord'Sith (both of whom had been enjoying a romantic evening away from Aydindril, politics and children), the two women made excellent timing, as had the Lord Rahl (he had been off saving a few kittens for a small village a day's ride west).
Rumors were flying around all of Aydindril.
Everyone was wondering just what had caused three of the most frightening (everyone knew Mistress Cara was the scariest when she wasn't doting after the pregnant Mother Confessor [seriously, those two were repopulating the Confessor line left and right]) women in Aydindril to lose it.
There were speculations that the break-downs had been the result of an important mission they had been on.
What the citizens (and visitors) of Aydindril did not realize, however, was the fact that the Mother Confessor and her Mord'Sith (anyone who attempted to argue this was usually met with the Agiel) had discovered the cause behind the breakdowns.
Twins around just 5 summers old.
Shockingly it had been Denna who'd had the break down first.
The twins had bombarded her with questions centering around world domination, torture techniques and other things of that manner. Those hadn't bothered her. In fact Denna had been rather proud that her nieces wanted to learn all about these things, even prouder that they had come to her.
Then they had asked her the question.
"Why does Uncle Richard call you honey bunnykins?"
She's nearly had an aneurism.
They had continued to bombard her with questions like this.
It led to her curled up on the floor, rocking back and forth, knees to her chest vowing never to babysit again.
Raina was the second to fall.
She was easy.
All it took was frogs.
Somehow (the Mother Confessor had a sneaking suspicion that Zedd was teaching her twins tricks) a portal of frogs had opened above Raina's head.
The Mord'Sith had an irrational fear of frogs.
She'd screamed and promptly locked herself in the closet.
Berdine was the last, she had managed to hold out for quite some time...
At least... until an small battalion of chipmunks entered the room.
Apparently the twins had been training them with the assistance of Raina (who always took great care in taming the wild chipmunks) and managed to gain full control of the small creatures.
She had a thing about chipmunks.
She didn't know if it was their beady little eyes or the tails that were too long for their bodies.
It was a thing.
So when the Mother Confessor, her Mord'Sith and the Lord Rahl returned... they knew who the perpetrators had been.
They (Kahlan and Cara) were going to have to find new babysitters because they had a sneaking suspicion that mentioning the word around the three women would lead to mini-breakdowns.
Once Denna was back to normal, they had no doubt that the children would be held in high respect with the Mord'Sith.
Raina and Berdine would probably avoid the twins as much as possible (at least for a few days).
Things would get back to normal...
The next child would be born (and Kahlan seriously hoped she skipped the evil genius phase).
A proper scolding later from their mom (Kahlan) their mommy (Cara) had paid up, they'd swindled her out of not only a nice sum of money but also iced treats tomorrow when they ventured to the market.
It had only taken an hour and a half to cause the three Mord'Sith to breakdown.
She was definitely impressed.
