I agree 100%. It's so hard to tell people I'm bi because I'm afraid they'll make all these stupid assumptions about me: "She's straight and just wants to 'experiment.'" "She's gay and she's just in denial." "She must go to orgies." No!
So, basically when a person believes that everyone has a slight bit of bisexuality in them, you can claim that they're wrong because it doesn't fit into the way you think?
So, basically when a person believes that bisexual people don't exist and everyone claiming to be bi is just confused, you can claim that they're wrong because it doesn't fit into the way you think?
YES. It's that "I know your thoughts and feelings better than you do" vibe I get from certain attitudes that piss me off, too. I've seen them worded in other irritating ways such as "if you're doing both sexes, you just haven't decided* which one you like yet" and for gay/straight only people "you're just limiting yourself to one sex*, how closed-minded". Jeeeeez.
*Because you can totally change your sexuality according to your or other people's wishes! I think I'm gonna be pansexual to avoid discriminating against anyone.
